Obanda Masanga out of retirement to induce academic discipline and character formation in schools

Obanda Masanga is a retired principal from Holy family Musembe secondary school who was honoured a doctorate degree in education, administration and management by a United States based university . He attained his higher education for both undergraduate and masters degree in Literature from the Catholic university of East Africa. He conduct mentorship program and motivational speaking in forums across the country.

Dr. Obanda Masanga handles academic discipline, character formation, coaching and training teachers,subordinate staff and students across the country. He also enhance parental engagement to which he works with passion and from the heart by impacting a well formed and moulded student.

He said that students who protrude character charming in schools even if they don’t do well in national examinations end up succeeding, because blessings accompany discipline and the vice versa is true.

His name remains a synonymous with philanthropy especially in education for having sponsored several students in their academic life especially while still a principal at Holy family Musembe. He also gives tokens in all his forums among students, teachers and parents to expound their morale and it is also a gesture that, ‘a hand that gives,receives more ‘.

He is out to transform mindset among some teachers who work in a negative perceived environment and want to improve the value change in their service. He began this noble cause way back while still a deputy principal at Mukumu boys.

A staunch Catholic church member has vast experience in teaching and mentoring because he has been a principal for over 35 years and remain a pivotal senior citizen in offering advisory content in the society. ” This nation can only be shaped by teachers and parents at family level. He urged parents to normalize attending meetings in schools as couples. He encouraged his colleagues across the country to adhere to integrity and instill discipline among students which will help raise a dependable generation.

He is the founder of KENYA SUB-COUNTY SCHOOLS PRINCIPALS’ FORUM- where he associate directly with over 4500 principals of sub-county schools.
