The government to address unemployment gaps

Earlier on,Kenya and Germany signed a comprehensive Agreement on sharing of Labor, Talent and Mobility in Berlin seeking to address the increasing demand for skilled labor in Germany in various sectors such as healthcare, engineering and information technology. A measure to create job opportunities for the graduates overseas.

Through this partnership, the Germany government has provided funding for language instructors, academic resources and access to standardized language tests which are recognized globally such as Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache (TestDaF) or Goethe-Zertifikat.

Students will  learn about the Germany culture, workplace etiquette and professional expectations equipping them with life skills and work experience while there.

One of the main advantages of this initiative is that it will enable Kenyan graduates to expand their expertise in Germany’s expanding labor market. The initiative also aligns with Kenya’s vision of reducing unemployment among the youth by creating opportunities for its young generation.

Doors of employment now open in Germany

The launch of the German language program at Tom Mboya University marks a milestone towards global career opportunities for Kenyan students and the initiative is set to transform the lives of many young professionals. As the program gains traction, it is expected to serve as a model for similar collaborations between Kenya and other countries ultimately leading to economic growth and international cooperation.
