St Paul’s Emulakha secondary emerged the best in the recently concluded sub-county competitions organized by the Kenya secondary schools sports association (KSSSA) for the boys volleyball.
The thrilling match was played at Emulakha primary ground which drew mammoth of spectators from all over the vicinity. The boys volleyball didn’t disappoint and made the crowd go into utter Pandemonium when they flashed Burangasi secondary 3-0 in clinging the sub-county volleyball championship belt automatically promoting them to represent Navakholo at the county level which is in the cofing.

Senior principal Emily Muhonja Wanyonyi, the Navakholo sub-county treasurer has been at the school for the last 5 years and has an eagle eye in making the school become great in the next years to come both in academics and co-curricular activities.
The biggest day school within the borders of Kabras,Bunyala, and Butsotso performed extremely well in its fashionable style in the 2024 KCSE by producing 5.042 mean score a sterling improvement from the previous year. They sent 56 candidates to join public universities an upward trajectory trend.

It has student population of 870 guided by 35 teachers,20 employed by TSC and 15 contracted by the BoM basis. The understaffed school has a disciplined lot of students despite being a pure day school.
This year’s candidates are 262 with a set target of 6.1 and they are determined to reclaim their lost glory to being the best in the sub-county and beyond.
The principal added that they are prepared to take all the 3 pathways in the CBE implementation so that they give students a variety of choice since it is one of the best day school within.

“We sacrifice a lot and well wishers together with our students endure more and even walk on foot to playing grounds during competitions a gesture of cooperation and a sign of great things to come,” shared a beaming principal.
The school does well also in legball, football, handball, netball,athletics, choir and drama.
” We have the potential in reaching at the East Africa competitions to be held in kakamega county later in the year. Our volleyball team should know that a thousand mile journey starts with the first step,we are on course and we pray to God to open our ways,” reminiscent Wanyonyi.
Volleyball coach Baroness Isaisi said that they lack enough resources like balls and training kits. Their training ground is also wanting and need a generous support from the government.
