Ebumamu primary one of the first born schools in Navakholo sub-county Shinoyi-Shikomari-Esumeyia ward is in dire need of infrastructure forcing them to convert one of the classes into staff room.
The school is disadvantaged in both fronts ranging from the ministry of education which has vehemently missed to allocate most of the pupils names in the NEMIS portal during capitation further sinking admiration and wishes of many pupils who come from humble beginnings.

The area MP Emmanuel Wangwe in one of the funerals at the school in 2015 did promise to construct a class which never happened. It is by the Grace of our Lord that some of the buildings have not collapsed and the parent Association and BoM are trying their best to renovate those classes to save lives and better learning standards.
Floors in almost all the classes are worn out forcing the school administration to revert back to cow dung days at least to make them habitable for learning. Most of the roofs are leaking making things hazardous for pupils during rainy seasons.
Head teacher Gilbert Asibwa has written so many letters to the ministry of education for assistance without a substantial help forthcoming. He has on numerous occasions sort assistance from the CDF office which maybe will come in when news will break for collapsed classes on the pupils.
Blackboards are in bad condition which forces some of the teachers to carry laptops in teaching especially with the CBE syllabus in place.
No enough classes for the 500 pupils who mostly learn under trees during sunny days. Teachers are sometimes forced to share latrines with pupils because there is just one latrine meant for teachers.
The dilapidated situation maybe makes parents’ attitude to be negative because since Moi’s era no change to the buildings which are old and tingling. Most parents don’t pay levies for their children assuming that the government pays school fees a hard decision prompting the head teacher to dig into his pockets for normal operations in school.
All stakeholders, well-wishers, the government, and parents are encouraged to help the school change its facelift which eventually will motivate learning and turn around the negative conotation within the surrounding which has demoralized teachers undertakings.
